My first deep and wreck dive ever was a wonderful one-on-one dive with my instructor Eduardo. In all honesty it was the most magical diving experience of my entire training experience (I write this looking back from my 10th dive). It was surprisingly simple, it was wonderful that it was just the two of us, and we were able to take our time, go slow, and really maximize those 18minutes at depth. I saw two white tip reef sharks, turtles, and a big moray eel that swam into a window and then popped right back out chomping on a fish, still hanging half out of his mouth. It was a first for Eduardo too who had his hand on the sill when he popped back out and scared us both. Then he swam out and down the side of the wreck in front of us and down to the reef below.

This dive was my first ever fluorescence dive using a special blue light and a mask filter at night. I have to say this was one of the most amazing dive experiences of my life. The colors that literally glowed all around were beautiful. The guide was not only beautiful herself but professional, knowledgable and fun. Not only did she take me on one of the best dives of my life but also provided a beach dinner before sunset and a snack after the dive. Probably the best $55 I have ever spent. Here is a link to a YouTube video of the type of dive. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=L73vgte56dA If you are on Oahu and want one of the most awesome dive experiences of your life I highly recommend contacting Jessea at (317) 702-6679.

Last dive of 2013! Booked this last minute dive trip with Island Divers Hawaii. Left Hawaii Kai and made the long trek to Kaka'ako. After watching the "pre-game" fireworks at 10pm, we made our way to the Sea Tiger wreck. Conditions on the wreck were very good and Brian did very well for his first night/deep/wreck dive (Dive #10 for him!) After the dive we watched the fireworks and greeted the new year in great company with a breathtaking view.

Current was ripping hard. Felt like a flag on the decent line. Other 3 divers were noobs and came up with 300. My dive partner had to use dive guides air. I was still over 1300.
