    1000 Steps

Had to walk down a bunch of steps to get to the beach. The location was very beautiful. During the dive we saw a sea turtle, a large drum fish, and many parrot fish. The reef structure was interesting but the visibility wasn't good.

    Olowalu

This dive was a big disappointment. We parked at a beach with a sign that said Olowalu, but we must have been at the wrong place because of reef here was dead and covered with algae. We swam out quite far but there was nothing to see so we turned back after a few minutes.

    Labyrinth

First dive for our self reliant course. We did a buoyancy check, switched to our secondary air source, and deployed our safety sausage. The reef structure here was very nice but not a lot of life.

    Silver Garden

This was a really beautiful dive and probably my favorite of this Roatan/Utila trip so far. The coral was very healthy - there was black coral, big pillar coral, elkhorn coral, and a lot of soft coral. We saw a drum, a cowfish, a trunkfish, and a tarpon. We found a swim-through part way through the dive. This was a great one!
